Head of Transformation and Change Management
RC Resolve, Real Chemistry

Amy Atwood is a seasoned communications and transformation leader whose 30-year career reflects a consistent ability to guide organizations through complexity with clarity and purpose. As Head of Transformation and Change Management within Real Chemistry’s advisory practice, RC Resolve, she partners with senior leaders to navigate large-scale change, align teams, and strengthen organizational culture in ways that drive meaningful performance and impact.

Amy’s approach blends strategic discipline with a deep understanding of human behavior. She has repeatedly built and evolved communications functions to meet shifting business demands, applying modern organizational design principles to enhance efficiency, engagement, and impact. Her work ensures that transformation efforts are not only executed effectively but also embraced by the people responsible for sustaining them.

Prior to joining Real Chemistry, Amy spent more than a decade at Takeda, where she held multiple leadership roles, most recently head of US and global corporate communications across areas including issues and crisis, media relations, and employee engagement. Her earlier leadership roles at Sanofi Oncology, Genzyme, and National Grid further shaped her expertise, particularly during a transformative 15-year tenure at National Grid marked by mergers, acquisitions, and industry deregulation. There, she developed a foundational belief that successful change depends on engaging employees at every step—an approach that consistently led to improved engagement outcomes.

Amy is also a strong advocate for integrating employee wellbeing into change strategies, introducing practical initiatives that support balance, flexibility, and long-term retention. Since joining Real Chemistry, she has expanded her impact by equipping leaders with the skills and confidence to lead change themselves, driving measurable improvements in leadership effectiveness.

A cancer survivor and caregiver, Amy brings a deeply personal sense of purpose to her work. Across every role, she has demonstrated that sustainable transformation is rooted in empathy, alignment, and a steadfast focus on people.
