Vertex signs agreement to buy Crinetics for $10bn

Vertex is to acquire Crinetics Pharmaceuticals in a transaction valued at nearly $10bn, or $8.8bn net of estimated cash acquired. The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
